The Trademark Clearinghouse (TMCH) is a central repository service that verifies, stores and communicates trademark information relating to the launch of new gTLDs.
Each new gTLD will launch with a Sunrise Period. The Sunrise Period will allow trademark owners to secure domain names, matching their registered trademarks, before the TLD is made available to the general public.
In order to qualify for the Sunrise Period trademark owners must have a validated trademark with the TMCH.
Lexsynergy has, as an ICANN accredited registrar and TMCH agent, developed an online tool to streamline the submission of trademarks to the TMCH, supported by a team of experts who will pre-verify each trademark prior to submission to the TMCH.
The new gTLD tool also monitors Sunrise Period launch dates sending notification when a date is announced as well as allowing you to pre-select TLDs of interest that are saved in a pdf new gTLD strategy report.
The first new gTLDs have already launched so it is important to start taking steps to participate in these launches by validating your trademarks.
