The .
physio domain name extension is restricted to persons, companies and organizations in the physio/physical therapy
 field. This requirement is NOT limited only to Sunrise. It will be in effect from launch into General Availability onward.

In order to register or renew a domain name the applicant must satisfy either Criteria A, B or C as described below.

At the time of submitting an application to register or renew a domain name the applicant must warrant that they meet the eligibility requirement.

There will be no other prerequisite for an applicant to provide or demonstrate eligibility.

Criteria A

Where a professional association that is a member of the World Confederation for Physical Therapy exists in the country where the applicant resides the applicant must:

1. Be a natural person; and

2. Be entitled to be a member of the professional association of the country where 
they reside or were educated.

Criteria B

In the case where a professional association exists but is not a member of the World Confederation for Physical Therapy or where a professional association does not exist in the country where the applicant resides the applicant must:

1. Be a natural person; and

2. Be completing, or have completed, a programme of study that affords eligibility to practice physiotherapy in that country.

Criteria C

In the case of a company or organisation:

1. One of their primary purposes must be to support, promote, service or supply persons identified in Criteria A or B, as an identified professional group, and

2. They may only register a domain name that is a close and substantial match to their business name, product or service.

.physio will launch in four phases, starting with Sunrise on 1 September 2014 at 00:00 UTC

Sunrise: 1 September 2014 at 00:00 UTC through 31 October 2014 at 23:59 UTC 

During Sunrise, SMD file issued by the Trademark Clearinghouse (TMCH) is required.

Limited Registration Period1 September 2014 at 00:00 UTC through 31 October 2014 at 23:59 UTC 

The Limited Registration Period operates to allow Applications from certain eligible Applicants, for domain names in the TLD which have not been otherwise Allocated, or reserved. 

In order to participate in a Limited Registration Period the Applicant must submit an Application for a domain name that: 

Was not previously Allocated as a result of an Application submitted during the Sunrise Period;
Is not Eligible for Allocation;
Is not the subject of an Application that is being currently processed by the auction provider. 

Domain names subject of Applications submitted during the Limited Registration Period will only be Allocated following the Allocation of all domain names applied for during the Sunrise Period. 

In order to resolve multiple Applications for the same domain name, the Applicant may be invited to take part in an auction. 

A Claims Period will be in effect during the entire duration of the Limited Registration Period. As such, an Applicant must acknowledge and accept the information contained within any Claims Notice that may be presented before processing of the Application.  

Landrush: 5 November 2014 at 00:00 UTC through 5 December 2014 at 23:59 UTC

During Landrushany eligible applicant may apply for a .GENT domain name. 

Applications for a domain name may be received from any interested eligible party. Multiple Applications for the same domain name are resolved by auction during this period. In order to resolve multiple Applications for the same domain name, the Applicant may be invited to take part in an auction. 

A Claims Period will be in effect during the entire duration of the Limited Registration Period. As such, an Applicant must acknowledge and accept the information contained within any Claims Notice that may be presented before processing of the Application.
