The .CN registry has sent emails to all domain owners in the past months, however, there is still a large number of domain name holders who have not yet confirmed their domain name information. CNNIC will therefore re-send confirmation emails starting 18 October  2010.

A registrant will be required to respond to the email within 5 working days by clicking the link in the email. The will confirm the registration information of the .CN domain name(s) is true and accurate.

If the domain name confirmation process is not completed within 5 working days CNNIC may take the following steps:

"DNS Suspended" (DNS zone is deactivated, domains will no longer resolve)

"Domain Server Hold process" (domain is locked, domain cannot be modified).
