2022 was truly an eventful year in the world of domains, with Web3 domains on the rise and registered domains breaking the 600,000,000 milestone!
Our team is the backbone of our company that enable us to provide top-notch service to our valued clients. In 2022, we grew our team to its largest size to date, with an emphasis on being able to continue to offer leading edge services to our clients.
Our dedicated senior team is working to push the boundaries in domain management and online brand protection, supported, with the latest technologies.
Happy clients are a result of happy staff, so we took significant steps by investing in our office space to create a more comfortable and productive working space while balancing the benefits of remote working.
As we know, work isn’t always fun and games so we decided to change this. In 2022 we took team building events to a new level with the introduction of events for our UK and South African teams, including a Chef’s experience at the Cookery, Cocktail Making in Cheltenham, Christmas parties, and company wide Secret Santa!
In August 2022, we achieved ISO 27001:2013 certification, testament to the high standard we set for Information security.
ISO 27001:2013 is an international standard that lays out best practices for information security management. By achieving compliance with this standard and our robust security controls, we have demonstrated our commitment to protecting the sensitive information of our clients. This includes personal data, financial information, and other confidential information that is entrusted to us.
We are proud to announce that in 2022, despite experts in the industry predicting a downwards trend in domain registrations, we reached a record number of domains under management and client centralisations! Not only this, but we also broke our internal record of domains registered in 24 hours, a feat that shows our continued growth and the skills of our technical team to process this.
Lexsynergy also achieved an above industry standard 90% domain retention rate, through strategic advice by recommending key registrations rather than burdening our clients with clunky and oversized portfolio that are not fir for purpose.
Our Online Brand Protection team also had a year full of wins; with a record number of cases being opened and resolved within 2022, as well as achieving a 95% success rate in takedowns and maintaining our 100% success record for domain complaints. This has all been achieved despite the challenges posed post pandemic and fighting the restrictions imposed by the GDPR.
Robert White, Head of Brand Protection at Lexsynergy had this to say on the year “If there was one message to convey, I would say that now brand owners are not only competing with the crooks but also with other brand owners to get their online issues handled first! The number of infringements has rocketed post pandemic and the various ISP'S simply raise the bar as to what they will action (as they require more resources to staff their abuse teams). In other words, they do the bare minimum to be legal, meaning our Online Brand Protection team must do far more work, (investigation, submission of legal arguments and evidence) to get the desired outcome than ever before!”
We launched our Web3 domain management services in 2022 to provide our clients a complete domain management service for all spaces on the internet, which was incredibly well received.
We integrated Web3 domain management within our existing domain management client portal, creating a seamless transition for those wanting to manage all their domains in one place. This led to not only Web3 domain registrations, but also Web3 client strategies, NFT (Non Fungible Token) purchases, and Web3 portfolio management.
We are well positioned and excited to continue providing the best service and latest information in this ever-evolving space.
