The Add Grace Period (AGP) is a five-day window period during which a newly registered domain name can be deleted/ dropped with full refund of registration fee.  AGP was introduced to provide a mechanism for Registrars and registrants to correct mistakes, reverse fraudulent registrations.

ICANN has adopted the AGP Limits Policy after the completion of a GNSO policy  development process on domain tasting. The adopted policy prohibits registry  operators from offering refunds to ICANN-accredited registrars for domain names  deleted during the AGP that exceed specific thresholds defined by the policy unless an exemption has been granted by an operator.
