The Cyprus domain registry recently launched .CY, which will run alongside COM.CY.  The new .CY domains are available now on a first-come, first-served basis. If you own a COM.CY domain, we recommend that you register the matching .CY domain to ensure there are no gaps in your portfolio. 

The registry also recently removed the local presence restrictions for both COM.CY and .CY domains meaning the registrant no longer needs to have a local address in Cyprus. Registrations are now open to all companies and individuals worldwide.
