To see a "healthy, educated and self-sufficient community in Malawi."
African Vision Malawi, established in 2005, empowers children and vulnerable people in Malawi to become self-sufficient and independent through the following:
Sam’s Village - A self-sustaining training village, built on a 17-acre site, with the objective to create self-sufficient training programmes that can support thousands of local people.
Health - Providing bicycle ambulances, feeding programs, equipping maternity clinics, and supporting those with disabilities and disease.
Water & Sanitation - Initiating a safe water programme that provides access to clean, safe water, by building purpose-built water collectors and rammed earth water harvesters.
Education - Supporting schools and students through all stages of education from primary school to university and adult education, by building schools, sponsoring students and creating the self-sustaining Sam’s village.
We were impressed by the work that Africa Vision carried out for the size of their charity. We wanted to get involved, deciding to sponsor a few students through their university studies.
African Vision introduced us to the students we were assisting, creating a personal relationship that is often not possible with larger charities. It has allowed the Lexsynergy team see the direct impact they are having on the lives of those students.
Bosco graduated in 2022 with a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Science at Mzuzu University.
Bosco has recently reached out to us directly to share his appreciation for the work we have done for him.
“I would also like to appreciate much on the good work that you were doing on me and you are still doing to other needy students like me. From deep down of my heart I do appreciate much for this. My greeting goes to your wife and children. You better tell them that I love them all and I pray that they should have long life. May you continue doing great job of assisting needy people. I wish you lovely time and life, May GOD BLESS YOU. Thank you.”
Samuel is in his final year studying for a Bachelor of Social Science in Gender Studies.
Samuel has recently written to us sharing his experience from his course.
“All is going well with the class performance, hopefully good grades will be produced at the end of this semester because I am trying all my best for this to happen. I can see myself contributing greatly to the country as the course I am doing now are really practical, giving solutions to the social problems Malawi is facing currently.”
